“ How Healthy Food Works “

To mark the occasion of International Chefs day, a programme “ How Healthy Food Works “ has been conducted on 21.10.2019 by Department of Hotel Management and Catering Science, Valluvar College of Science and Management, Karur. Dr.N.Venkatachalapathy, Head , Department of FoodEngineering, IIFPT, Thanjavur , Mr.T.V.Rajesh Kumar, Resident Manager, TheResidency, Karur and Chef Abdul Khader, Executive Chef, The Residency, Karurwere the chief guests. Around 500 school Children were invited and varieties of natural food have been displayed and the nutrition part of each and every food item has been explained to the children. The children have been provided with these sample foods for taste along with nutrition tips. Mr.K.Senguttuvan, Chairman of the institution in his presidential address highlighted the need of nutrition foods for the future generation and assured that Valluvar College will continue to educate on these aspect. All children participated in the programme enjoyed the show and happy about the theme.
