Say YES to Healthy Food
Our world needs a healthy diet to achieve a good standard of living, which is
necessary to produce a healthy environment to our future generations. Valluvar
college took much effort to take this first step to bring out the need and necessity of
healthy diet in our day to day life. Department of Hotel Management and Catering
Science of Valluvar college aspired to create awareness through their catering students
about the healthy diet.
The programme inaugurated by the chief guest Dr. Bhuvaneshwari Shankar, Group
Chief Dietitian, Apollo Hospitals Group, Chennai. She illustrated the importance of
healthy food practices to the students and Dr. Chellamuthu from karur also
participated in the programme as special invitee. He appreciated the food preparation
by the students. Correspondent Thiru.K.Senguttuvan had delivered his transparent
view on the good eating habits and its necessities.
During the question session, the guests answered all the student’s questions and
suggested the right practices of eating. More than a doctor, a catering professional
must know the right ingredients for cooking. This programme is organized by the
department staff and students at Valluvar Arangam Karur at 10.30 a.m.
