Valluvar College of Science and Management (VCSM), established in 2004 in Karur, Tamil Nadu, is a co-educational institution affiliated with Bharathidasan University, Tiruchirappalli. With a clear vision of nurturing ethically strong individuals who contribute meaningfully to national development, the college offers 14 Undergraduate programmes, 5 Postgraduate programmes and research opportunities through M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Commerce. The institution is deeply committed to empowering students from rural, minority and economically underprivileged backgrounds by providing accessible, quality education with an emphasis on employability and holistic development.
In recognition of our commitment to excellence, VCSM was granted Autonomous status starting from the academic year 2025-26, positioning us to independently design curriculum, conduct examinations and frame evaluation methods that align with contemporary industry needs. In our pursuit of innovation and student-centric learning, we actively engage in national academic initiatives and recently achieved a 3.5-Star Rating in the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) Rankings for 2023-24. We also take pride in being the only affiliated institution under Bharathidasan University to be licensed to organize TEDx events, further highlighting our commitment to thought leadership and global academic dialogue.
The college was accredited with an A+ Grade in the very first cycle of NAAC in 2023, a testament to its high standards in academic performance, infrastructure, student support and institutional governance. VCSM also received AICTE approval for its MBA programme, reflecting its adherence to national benchmarks for technical education. Furthermore, we are in the process of applying for AICTE approval for BBA and BCA programmes from the academic year 2025-26, ensuring these programs meet the highest regulatory standards.
