Dr. S. R. RANGANATHAN LIBRARY

Dr. S. R. Ranganathan Library was established in the year 2004. It is well stocked, and presently has a collection of books on different subjects/titles with digital library facilities. It provides comprehensive collection of books, journals, online databases (N-List, DelNet, and National Digital Library) and other reference materials, which helps for students to achieve in campus interview and competitive exams.

By using the library reference section, the students can develop their knowledge and skills. The Reference Section, Circulation Section, and Periodical Section are the three sections that make up the library. Open Access System is followed in the library. Circulation was computerized and barcoding system was introduced to speed up library transactions. All faculty and students were issued bar-coded membership cards for access to the library.

LIBRARY RULES AND REGULATIONS

  • Users must scan their ID card in e-Gate Register.
  • Books will be issued to the students only on production of the valid ID card.
  • The books should be returned within 15 days from the date of issue.
  • Renewal is also allowed if the book concerned is not reserved by others.
  • Books which are not return on due date, a fine of Rs.1 will be collected as overdue charges.
  • Books borrowed from the library are not transferable.
  • Loss of books issued, if any should be reported to the Librarian immediately.
  • Strict Silence should be maintained inside the library.
  • Discussions are not allowed inside the library.
