About the Department

Put forth of the importance of commerce and business field, undergraduate degree programme was started in the Department of Commerce in the academic year 2005-2006. Realizing and meeting the need of the post-graduation level education M.Com programme was added in 2010. The department aims to cultivate in students an uncompromising commitment towards enhancing the quality of life both at the organizational and societal level. It prepares and promotes the students to passionate pursuit for academic and intellectual excellence.

The department ensures to secure a firm foundation in varied dimensions of commerce, business and transactions. It inculcates the desire for working effectively and efficient way of executing the activities in all fields of business. It explores the available avenues to the students to become a business person. Further, the department equips the students with practical knowledge to prepare various accounts, taxation, auditing, finance.
