About the Department
With a grand view on promoting students to administrative service in state and central governments, under graduate programme BA Public Administration was started in the Department of Public Administration in the academic year 2007-2008. The department encourages the students to become Bureaucrats in Indian Administrative services for establishing a welfare state and sustainable development. It enhances to provide value added capacity building for Public Personnel and Private Sector Administrators. Further, the department encourages students for the highest standards of Professional Practice and service to the Public by enhancing the understanding of Public Sector and advocating the highest values and ideals of Public Service.

- Encouraging students for Industrial visits with aim of getting exposure to outer world of administrative services
- Arrangement of Internship training programs in various government service organizations, Food Safety Department, Panchayat Raj Office, NGO etc
- Inviting public administrative service personnel from state and central government for interactions with students
- Organizing Parliamentary Club activities Civil Service Day, Seminar on Labour and human Rights, Group Discussion on Bills and Public Administration Quiz
- Conducting Model Youth Parliament to acquire the practical knowledge and process of Indian Parliament sessions
- Making students to involve in the activities like Cultural Programs, Sports and Other Events which are not related to subject.
- Equipping students to prepare for other Competitive Exams as the syllabus covers nearly 80% of Government Exams., to name a few, Current Affairs, Indian Administration, Police Administration, Local Government, Indian Polity, Development Administration, Constitutional Development, E – Governance.
